Many proxies, Proxy tunnels etc… are listening per default ONLY on loopback, i.e. 127.0.0.1. That is, no other host on the network can use it.

So, what to do? Search for the “Gateway” option.
Example (cntlm):
Use additionally to your other option the “gateway” switch.

cntlm -g
